 Vollick McKee's Role: Vollick McKee Master planned and designed surface features from initial concept to completion of a new 450-bed hospital. Work included:
Preparing a grading plan that balanced the optimal elevation and position of the building with excavation costs.
Siting and designing entrance roads, parking areas for 1400 vehicles, loading zones, service areas, helicopter operations area and emergency access routes.
Designing outdoor patient, staff, and visitors’ spaces and amenities to avoid conflict between user groups and services.
Preparing planting plans
Providing design details and specifications for all landscape works.
Collaborating closely with other disciplines with regard to the building’s mechanical, electrical and civil services.
