Vollick McKee's Role:
Vollick McKee was responsible for the design of a pedestrian plaza, primarily used as a city entry point by cruise ship passengers and to link nearby Pier 21 with the downtown Halifax waterfront. Work included:
Designing the archway concept.
Designing tiered retaining walls and patterned surfacing.
Preparing layout, grading, planting plans, design details and specifications.
Project management of all siteworks.
Fast tracking the project for the arrival of the Queen Mary cruise ship.
